ASIPONA Coatzacoalcos will conduct:Level II Protection Drill.

March 17, 2026.

On March 19 of this year, around 16:00 h, a Level II Protection Drill will take place inside the Coatzacoalcos Port Precinct.

The above is intended to comply with current regulations regarding port security in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) and to evaluate the effectiveness of the security plans of the port and its concessionaire companies.

The drill will be organized by the respective port authorities: Administration of the National Port System Coatzacoalcos, Naval Zone, Port Captaincy, Customs, UNAPROP, Civil Protection, State Traffic, Municipal Police, and other local and federal authorities. The scenario includes the use of vehicles to affect port operations and the presence of protesters.

The main port security activities will be:

  • Implement the Security Plan of the Port and the concessionaire companies.

  • Coordinate communication and actions to control the threat in a coordinated manner between the port community and authorities.

We ask the residents of the neighborhoods surrounding the port precinct to remain attentive to the instructions of the authorities and the alerts from the port's alarm system. This type of practice allows for the measurement of reaction times of response units to port threats and the personnel working inside the precinct.
