API Coatzacoalcos starts maintenance dredging works

Dutch manufacturing, B/M Crestway just arrived to the port of Coatzacoalcos, for the dredging works of the Coatzacoalcos River in order to preserve the official draft of 39 " in the navigation channel.
With a length of 137 mts., 26 mts. wide and with a hopper capacity of up to approximately 5,000 mts3, the vessel has a work program that includes the dock area of the port at Coatzacoalcos and Pajaritos Lagoon.
This will last until the middle of next month and the Engineering Department of the entity will supervise the work; an estimated of 400,000 mts3 of sediment, will be poured 6.5 nautical miles out to sea from the port.
Last December under an international bid, the dredging works contract for Coatzacoalcos, Tuxpan and Tampico was assigned to the companies Dragamex, S.A. de C.V. and Caba Servicios de Personal, for the amount of 116,5 million pesos, before tax.
