Cousins and Cousins, new assignee of the Port of Coatzacoalcoss

Cousins and Cousins, S.A. de C.V., a company with 20 years of experience in the field of livestock and food industry, makes the work of compaction and foundation for the construction of two storage tanks with capacity of 12,000 m3, the work will have an investment of 40 million pesos weight and is estimated to begin operations later this year.

This important project for the management of molasses, will be located on 6000 m2 inside the Coatzacoalcos port area, and will also feature with loading and unloading yards, railroad spurs for others.

Molasses or cane syrup, is a thick liquid product derived from sugar cane, its appearance is very similar to honey and produced by cooking the juice of sugar cane to the partial evaporation of the water it contains, forming a semi-sweet crystallized product, which is used primarily as an energy supplement for ruminant feeding.

For the Port of Coatzacoalcos in the last decade they have handled large volumes of molasses, with the installation of this plant is expected a significant upturn in export of this product come from the states of Quintana Roo, Chiapas and Veracruz mainly.

Thus, API Coatzacoalcos increases its infrastructure and provides another alternative for fluid handling also welcomes the port community to a new assignee.
