API Coatzacoalcos, more competitive this year

The Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos, conducted today its traditional starting meeting with various media, local, state and national.
Dr. Ovidio Noval Nicolau, Director General of the entity, announced the most significant achievements during 2014: the rise in the total movement of their cargo of 10% with a total of 28 million 791 thousand seven tons, and progress in investment projects which include the construction of the winery No 7, the new building harbormaster and major maintenance to the port infrastructure.
About the projects are considered for this 2015, Dr. Noval mentioned the extension works for 1p docking, with an investment cost of 330 million, with the purpose of receiving a larger number of vessels, as well the construction of road and rail access to adequate permit the entry and exit of goods handled there.
On the other hand, he noted the importance of dredging the navigation channel and docks area of the port areas of Coatzacoalcos and Laguna de Pajaritos, these are scheduled for this week, bringing the official draft that will allow be maintained without setback the arrival of more than 1,500 vessels Coatzacoalcos receives annually.
Thus, the Port of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico's Leader in bulk cargo, begins this year with the goal of maintaining its infrastructure optimally, this will allow greater competitiveness and development in their port operations.
