Level 3 protection practice, 2014
Coatzacoalcos, December 18, 2014.
Today at 13:30 hours, a practice of protection level 3 was conducted within the port area of Coatzacoalcos, in order to comply with regulations in force regarding port security according to the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS Code). The practice was intended to evaluate the effectiveness of port security plans and transferees.
The practice was organized by the Cap. Alt. Gaspar Cime Escobedo, Harbormaster Dr. Ovidio Noval Nicolau, Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos, Admiral Manuel Fernandez Monforte CGDEM Carlos Brito, Naval Sector of Coatzacoalcos, UNAPROP No. 16 and Civil Protection. This time, the practice was planned so that only a small number of authorities were aware and thus evaluate the response of the port community and the institutions responsible for action against threats to security and port security.
