Oleosur S.A.P.I. de C.V., opens its refinery in the Port of Coatzacoalcos

Oleosur S.A.P.I. de CV, made today the opening of its new specialized in the management of palm oil in the Port of Coatzacoalcos terminal.
The ribbon cutting was led by Lic. Ricardo Aguilar Castillo, Secretary for Food and Competitiveness SAGARPA, Ing. Manuel Emilio Martinez de Leo, Secretary of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries Development of the Government of the State of Veracruz, Lic. Jorge López Fernando Terrones , Director General of Oleosur Group, Ing. Ulises Rios German, Chairman Product System Oil Palm in Veracruz, Lic. Adrian Lara Marquez, Marketing Manager Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos.
The terminal was developed in stages over the years, it is installed in a greater than 21 area, 000 m2 and investment for this important project was 180 million pesos approximately, which meant the creation of 9,000 direct and indirect jobs .
Palm oil is a fat in semi-solid or liquid form, according to the ambient temperature, containing about 50% saturated fatty acids, 40% mono unsaturated acids and 10% polyunsaturated fatty acids and like all vegetable oils contain very low levels of cholesterol.
The oil obtained is used as raw material for refining companies, who use it primarily in the production of oils for table and kitchen, margarines, butters, soaps and is equally useful in the leather industry, steel and textiles.
The Port of Coatzacoalcos is located within the first three ports in the country as far as cargo handling is concerned, with an annual average of 30 million tons, noting that 70 percent of this burden is represented by fluids.
With this new facility the Port of Coatzacoalcos ... Leader of Mexico in bulk, increasing its supply of infrastructure for industrial activities in the southern region.
