The Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos participated from 4 to 6 September in the 18th Expo Building Veracruz South, an event of great importance in the state.

As every year, it brought together leading figures from the business and policy area; this year attended Luis Zárate Rocha, National Head of the CMIC, José Antonio Manzur Beltran, State Delegate of the Ministry of Economy on behalf of the Federal Government, Erik Porres Blesa Secretary of Economic Development on behalf of the State Government, Joaquin Caballero Rosiñol, Mayor of the city, Antonio Pablo Bustos Peter, from CMIC Coatzacoalcos, and Dr. Ovidio Noval Nicolau, CEO of the Port of Coatzacoalcos, among others; who cut the ribbon on the Expo Building.

As part of this event, Dr. Ovidio Noval Nicolau in a master conference entitled The Role of the Port in the project "Corredor Transístmico", released the excellent location of the port in order to unite the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean. Reported that Coatzacoalcos, has adequate infrastructure for starting the project also will be held investments that are required to stimulate the development of this great project, which would detonate the country economy.

API Coatzacoalcos is one of the leading developers of infrastructure projects and civil works, recently invested 30 million pesos for the construction of a warehouse for the storage of 12,000 tons of agricultural bulk, bulk minerals and other cargoes, which is a indoor storage capacity of 76,000 tonnes this MDP 330 investment to develop the two-stage dock 1p, the first phase includes the construction of 130 meters of marginal wharf.

Thus, the Port of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico's leader in bulk cargo, contributes to industrial development in southern Veracruz.
