In formal ceremony on the bridge, a delegation composed of Cap. Alt. Gaspar Cime Escobedo, Harbormaster Dr. Ovidio Noval Nicolau, CEO API Coatzacoalcos, Lic. Angelica Morales Lobato, the collector of customs Coatzacoalcos and Lic. José Manuel Boleaga Campos, delegate of the National Migration Institute; they delivered a recognition to the captain of the vessel Band Sea, Mozzhin Geniidy for such an important event.

CG Railway Company began offering its services in January 2001 with two rail ships, providing a shorter alternative sea route for railway land, traveling between Mobile, Alabama and Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.

The rail ferry transports a variety of goods such as wood, chemicals, minerals, metals, agricultural bulk, among others; has a door to door service, single shipment, without transfers, increasing the transportation vision and saving valuable time in the chain supply.

Due to the above, during 2007 the service expands its load capacity, from an operation of a single deck to two decks operation increasing the capacity of each vessel to an average of 115 trucks, since then it has consistently met with high levels of performance, increasing also the cargo volumes ranging from 800 thousand to 1 million tonnes per year.

This important service has direct exchange with first class railroads in the United States and short line services that cater to the port of Mobile, and the company Ferrosur in Mexico wich serves the Port of Coatzacoalcos.

This way, the "Port of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico Leader in Bulk Cargo", faces the challenges ahead and marks a milestone in the arrival of line services in the south-southeast of Mexico.
