Today began the unloading of agricultural bulk, through a mechanized bands system, directly from the boat to the hold No. 3.
Fulfilling one of the actions of its investment program this year, the company Ingeniería Avanzada en Manejo de Graneles y Diseños Estructurales, S.A. de C.V., conducted a $10 million pesos investment for the development of a mechanism for downloading direct from ship to storage areas, diminishing thereby, the time and cost in downloading and eviction of agricultural bulk, handled by the port; the versatility of this new mechanized system, allows the discharge of up to 3 different types of grains, directly trailers, rail cars and warehouses at the same time.
As part of the modernization of the ports of Mexico, the B / M "Chios Wind" is the first vessel to discharge in a warehouse of the port of Coatzacoalcos completely mechanized; handling a total of 31,000 tons consisting of: yellow corn, sorghum, residual dry grain corn distillery (DDG) and soybean meal.
