Portuary Week 2011

The Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos and the community conducted the issue n° 14 of its traditional Portuary week 2011, as part of the port-city liaison program. During the week from 4 to 11 September, events were held to raise awareness of the public activities carried out in the harbor.
On Sunday September 4, to kick off a week of activities for this important celebration, a PapAKi was performed by the coastal boardwalk in the city of Coatzacoalcos, along with a photo exhibition on the esplanade of access to walk the breakwater barriers, where they could see various images of the port and the companies installed in it.
With great interest, young and old participated in guided tours inside the port area, towing rides and visits to Bicentennial Park, recreational space built by the Port Authority to promote environmental protection and endangered wildlife.
In this edition, the organization gave priority to the conferences for the general public on topics of interest as "Port of Coatzacoalcos" and "API protection to the environment", taught by Mr. Gilberto Rios Ruiz, Director General and Mr. Charles Bravo Soto, Deputy Manager of Ecology, respectively, aimed at university students. For his part, Mr. Angel Diaz Merigo lecturer and international consultant on issues of motivation and leadership, so jovial reminded us the importance of values in our daily lives, with the conference "Please that we are in the same boat," which recorded an impressive full.
Other activities within the campus and focused on primary-level children were: "Come and draw your port", where children had the opportunity to meet docks, businesses and roads, to translate it into a drawing, "Workshop civil protection for children "given by the local civil protection unit supported by the emergency medical group of the port, which instructed in a didactic way more than 80 students. Likewise, the population could take a tour of the impressive naval ship "Arm Oaxaca" docked at the quayside, as part of the event "Come and visit a Navy ship."
By the "First Meeting Management Systems and Sustainability 2011", was convened to transferees, service providers and contractors with the main objective to promote the development of practices of first-level aimed at organizational improvement and competitiveness of the companies that make our port community, and make the port of Coatzacoalcos become a world class port.
On Sunday September 11th took place the closing with the 3rd Port 6k Carrera, an entire sporting event was experienced by this competition, exceeding expectations for the number of participants, more than 320 runners were registered within the youth branch, master and veterans with the firm intention of filling the roads with fast port and take the stage times to continue the practice of this discipline, as well as strengthen family ties.
Thus, the Port of Coatzacoalcos in Mexico ... Leader BC, celebrates a year of working for the benefit of the community.
