Smart Pass opens its new terminal at the Port of Coatzacoalcos

Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz March 18, 2011

Smart Pass, S.A. de C.V., today held the inauguration of its new terminal storage of liquid chemicals in the port of Coatzacoalcos.

The terminal is installed in an area of 7,326 m2, has 5 storage tanks with a capacity of 7,200 m3, multi-purpose warehouse with an area of 300 m2, a rack with two 6 inches pipes for direct discharge of the springs 7 and 8, facilities of transference (filling stations) for loading 5 truck pipes simultaneously. There is also a weighing scale for pipes of 70 tons, and a modern 450m2 building which houses offices, laboratories and services.

The ribbon cutting was led by architect Roberto Chagra Nacif, Trustee H. City Council, representing the Mayor, Mr. Marcos Theurel Cotero, Mr. Gilberto Rios Ruiz, Director General of the Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos and Mr. Sergio Brondo Medina, CEO of Smart Pass.

It is noteworthy that this important project comprises 2 stages, at the end of which the facility will have a total capacity of 20.000 mts3. This significant investment contributes to employment generation and during his period of construction created a total of 90 jobs.
