Grand opening of the Bicentennial Park at the Port of Coatzacoalcos

With the presence of Alejandro Dominguez Chacón, General Coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine the grand opening of the Bicentennial Park was released; a new space where families of Coatzacoalcos can live with nature.
Accompanied by Ms. Angela Pulido Guerrero, Municipal President of Coatzacoalcos, Federal and Municipal authorities, Chambers representatives and general public are generally the launch event was held, beginning with the planting of a bald cypress tree as a symbol of the preservation of flora will be held there.
During the tour of the park, Mr. Gilberto Rios Ruiz, CEO of API Coatzacoalcos, explained to the guests the functionality of the pit of jaguars, the crocodile, bird and mammal shelter houses for 19 species of animals, which 17 of them are in danger of extinction.
At the conclusion of the tour, the inaugural unveiling of the plaque was held, which officially opened this work offering the inhabitants of the whole region a new family entertainment center.
Subsequently a tour of the totally redesigned Lighthouse Museum was given, now visitors can learn more about the evolution of navigation since ancient times.
Bicentennial Park represents a social benefit and also implied an economic investment requiring a total of 46 million pesos, generating 350 direct jobs, plus indirect costs related to the acquisition of local supplies and materials.
The social commitment of the Port Authority of Coatzacoalcos is embodied in works such as the Stroll and the newly opened Escolleras Bicentennial Park, which are delivered to the city as healthy, recreation and relaxation places to promote culture and contribute to environmental education community
